A good start to the new year with a hot (and still unnamed) new band

After a long pandemic-induced period of playing mostly at home, with a few streaming experiences in between, I'm happy to announce a new project with Sharik Hasan on piano, Malek Lakhoua on drums and Christy Smith on bass. Stay tuned for updates! May 2021 be at least a slight improvement :)

Recording and performing with Tamara Obrovac, Kruno Levacic, Fausto Beccalossi, Uroš Rakovec, Ziga Golob and the HRT Jazz Orchestra was a great honor and an unadulterated pleasure. I'm excited about the (long overdue) publication of this record! Have a listen here.

Expert Interpreter at YST Conservatory

I am very happy to have been invited once more to YST Conservatory, this time in the role of "expert interpreter": I'll give two lectures about the saxophone in contemporary music, from the basics up to extended techniques and repertoire; I'll work with composition students on their pieces for saxophone, and eventually I'll premiere their pieces as a recital at YST. I'm very much looking forward to it!
